SKANSKA INVOLVED IN TWO NEW M.T.A. CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS

It is reported that Skanska and its joint venture partners recently were awarded two major transit construction contracts awarded by The Metropolitan Transportation Authority. A joint venture of Skanska USA and Traylor Bros. Inc. has reportedly won the bid to excavate the cavern that will house the Second Avenue Subway's 86th Street Station, while another Skanska joint venture, with Railworks Corp., was awarded the contract to furnish and install finishes and systems at the No. 7 Line subway extension from Times Square to West 25th Street along 11th Avenue in Manhattan.
