The dangerous construction of the East Side Access project to bring Long Island Railroad trains directly to Grand Central Terminal has claimed another victim, as a Granite Traylor Frontier Operating Engineer, Local 15, employee suffered a serious hand injury while attempting to remove slurry pipes the sandhogs had been using to pour grout within the project. Because of improper rigging of the equipment, a heavy steel object fell upon a workers hand causing massive damage. Hofmann & Schweitzer is representing this injured worker and reminds all construction workers that safety should be paramount on the job.
