7 Symptoms of a Potential Slip and Fall Head Injury

Some head injury symptoms occur immediately after a slip and fall accident while other symptoms may not occur for weeks.  If you have hit your head in a New York or New Jersey slip and fall accident, then it is important to see a doctor for a prompt diagnosis of any injuries.  However, if you experience any of the following head injury symptoms, then it is especially important to get prompt treatment.

Some of the symptoms of a head or traumatic brain injury include*:
  • Loss of consciousness
  • Confusion
  • Difficulty with speech, gross motor movements or sensory problems
  • Convulsions or seizures
  • Headaches
  • Weakness or numbness
  • Pupil dilation

Of course any change in behavior, physical ability, cognitive ability or sleep patterns should be reported to your physician.  If you recognize, and seek treatment for, the symptoms of a head injury then you may be able to minimize the effects of that injury on your life.

For more information about what to do after a slip and fall head injury, please contact a New Jersey and New York slip and fall lawyer at Hofmann & Schweitzer.  We would be pleased to provide you with a free consultation about your rights and potential damages.  We can be reached at 1-800-362-9329 or via our online contact form.
