A dockbuilder working on a wind farm project off the coast of New York was seriously injured when a mooring cable whipped and struck him in the face during anchor-setting operations. He sustained multiple facial fractures, herniated discs, PTSD and eye injuries. The incident occurred while securing a 10,000-pound anchor as part of a four-point mooring system. The case resulted in a $7 million settlement.
